Welcome to the Equipment Manager's Page:
On this page you will find tips on equipment care, what I expect of coaches and how to care for jerseys. There will also be links on how to take care of goal equipment properly.
BMHA Goal Equipment Care and Maintenance
BMHA goal equipment is assigned to coaches (sometimes individual parents if the player is a full time goalie). Therefore, the coach or parent is responsible for the equipment and making sure it is maintained during the season.
Misuse of equipment could result in a bill from BMHA.
Helpful Tips:
· Equipment must be dried out after every game, just like player equipment
· All pieces should be hung up to dry out – open up gloves if possible
· Goal pads should be dried out upside down so the toe area faces up
· If strings break, call Equipment Manager, or lace in spare pieces you may have
· If a leather strap breaks, call the Equipment Manager
· Three sets of pads/equipment will not be handed out to individual teams
Pads with toe ties: With the following instructions and link, you can anchor your pads properly with tie-on-toes.
1)Set the pad in front of the skate and position the laces so that the pad is centered.
2)Criss-cross the laces through the holes in the blade and pull the pad tightly to the blade.
3)Bring laces up on top of the skate and pull them tight on top of your skate laces.
4)Here you see correctly tied tie-on-toes.
5) Kneel into the pad, do up remaining straps starting from the bottom.

All team jerseys need to be taken care of following this outline:
* Wash jerseys regularly and in cold water.
* Do not wash jerseys with other garments.
* Using the gentle cycle is best.
* Never put jerseys in the dryer.
* Jerseys must be hung to dry.
* Rips or snags can be fixed with a quick fix - needle and thread or heat and iron patches put on the inside of the jersey.
* If you are unsure about fixing a rip or snag, call the equipment manager.
